London Care and Support Forum (LCAS forum) Reference Group
Purpose
The London Care and Support Forum is a grouping of people and organisations involved in the provision of social care, personal support and health services across the Capital.
It works with commissioners, providers and users of services to provide a supportive facility for the exchange of information, the creation of a better understanding of user requirements in a constantly changing marketplace and to encourage higher quality standards through workforce development.
LCAS provides a structured mechanism to facilitate joint working for those involved in commissioning, providing, developing and supporting health and social care services in London. It was established in 2012 to provide a vehicle for organisations to come together and jointly develop integrated solutions to policy and practical challenges facing the sector in London. Since the introduction of the Care Act it is evolving as a means to develop, and support the provider market
The aims of the Reference Group are:
• To ensure LCAS Forum is guided by participant organisations.
• To identify and prioritise the areas of LCAS activity.
• To identify, discuss and address issues of common concern and identify where LCAS Forum can support the avoidance of unnecessary duplication of effort for participant organisations
• Comment on proposed activity presented by the Directors.
